Phase 1: Analyze the job
Job Analysis determines if a new position is required within the team/ area. It is a systematic procedure to obtain detailed and objective information about the vacancy, before it is advertised. Job analysis is the term given to the assessment of the vacancy.
Once the vacancy is assessed, a Job Description Form (JDF) must be developed. This document reflects the role and the work related requirements. The job description should provide basic information about the role, including, but not limited to:
The job title
The job level ( relevant classification)
Reporting level ( organizational chart)

Main Responsibilities & Requirements
The date it is created /updated.
Job Description Form (JDF) incorporates the Job Specification (JS). This document is one of the most important documents within the recruitment and selection process. The purpose of the Job Specification (JS) is to set out a list of knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, qualifications and training that are required for a person to be able to carry out effectively the duties described in the job description. This specification forms the criteria against which all candidates will be assessed throughout the recruitment and selection process.
